This was a busy week in the dye studio. I dyed up Afremov’s Farewell to Anger on Squoosh DK:

I also dyed up some of Jones’ Les Vendeuses de Tissue on Stained Glass Sock:

I think this is such a great colorway for spring, don’t you?
Next I dyed Northern Lights on Twinkle Sock:

I also dyed The Great Black Bull on Squoosh DK:

I also have a fresh batch of Enchanted Forest on Twinkle Sock, but I have to wait for it to dry so I can photograph it. Hopefully I will be able to do that by the time you read this.
Lastly, I listed some of the new Vivaldi’s Four Seasons colorways that I dyed on Sock Perfection:

That’s what’s new this week–lots of happy spring colorways! I hope there is something that sounds perfect for your next project!

April Club Colorway
We are now into the High Renaissance in the art-inspired club colorways, and this month I chose a fresco by Perugino called Delivery of the Keys. It is in the Sistine Chapel. One of the art historians pointed out that–had it not been for Michelangelo’s amazing work–this would probably be the most famous work of art in the Sistine Chapel.

Perugino painted it between 1481 and 1483. Like the Masaccio painting from February, my plan is to focus mostly on the richly colored robes of the figures in the front.

Congratulations, Spinners!
I want to congratulate the Purple Lamb team members from this year’s Spin Together competition! For our team, Michele, Stefani, and Joy all won in the Wildest Art Yarn contest while Stefani, Joseph, and Sandi won in the Most Beautiful Skein contest. Michele and Sandi also won prizes in the big competition too! You can see all the gorgeous yarn from the winners of the big Spin Together competition on the website right here. Best of all, I think everyone really enjoyed all the spinning.

A Question about Feather Sock
A couple years back I carried a light fingering-weight yarn called Feather Sock, and I’m trying to decide whether to bring it back. It’s made of 85% non-superwash merino and 15% silk, and it has 490 yards per skein. It’s really lovely and is especially great for sweaters since non-superwash yarn keeps its shape better. If Feather Sock is something you would foresee using, would you let me know please?
Here are some of the colorways I had on Feather Sock:

I think that’s everything for this week! I hope you have a beautiful spring weekend.
