This week I finally got to make a new set of colorways that I have been wanting to make for a long time. It’s called The Four Seasons, and it is inspired by Vivaldi’s beautiful symphony and the beautiful symphony of mother nature as well.
Here are the four colorways:
From left to right, the colorways are Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. It took a lot of thought and a couple tries to get this right. I wanted the set to look cohesive, but I also wanted each colorway to truly represent the season. To do both of those things, I kept some colors the same throughout the whole set while adjusting others to match the season. For example, the green in spring and summer is chartreuse, but then it moves to thyme for autumn and forest green for winter. All together, the set works as a beautiful gradient with the colors getting more saturated as the seasons change from spring to summer to autumn to winter.
I have The Four Seasons set available for preorder on four different yarn bases. You can order between now and next Friday, and then I’ll get them dyed up and ready to ship by February 24th–just in time for spring. I also have some gorgeous pattern suggestions to go with the yarn, which you can see in the listing right here.

Spin Together!
The Spin Together signups are open now through the 15th, and I’d love for you to join the Purple Lamb team. In years past, the focus of Spin Together was on seeing how many yards of yarn you could spin in one week. This year, though, we have shifted our focus to the more creative side of spinning with seven different contests ranging from Most Beautiful Skein to Finest Lace to Novice Spinner. There is something for every spinner. You can learn more and join a team on the website at SpinTogether.org. I hope to see you there!
