Good morning!
I have several bits of news to tell you about this week.
First of all, my Buy 2, Get 1 Summer Sale continues through Monday the 24th. I still have a nice selection of hand-dyed yarn, handspun yarn, and spinning fiber, and I’m adding some new items to the sale just to keep things interesting.
Next, I wanted to tell you about a limited edition colorway I have right now. As you may recall, in March I used Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” as the inspiration for my yarn club.
Here’s what the yarn looked like:
After March, I had quite a few requests for the colorway, but I had to say no (which I hate doing, by the way) because my club colorways are exclusive to club members only for at least two months and usually longer. Now that several months have passed, I decided to make some more Starry Night skeins for everyone who wanted them.
I made them this week on Sparkly Merino Sock and Sock Perfection, and they went fast. I do have one left in Sock Perfection and one in Sparkly Merino Sock already dyed up. Here they are on Sparkly Merino Sock:
Still, there were a few people who wanted more than I had left, so I opened up a preorder here. This is a limited-edition colorway just because of the complexity involved in dyeing it. As you know, I have lots of complex colorways, but this one out-complexes them all!
Anyway, it’s available on my website through June 24th after which I’ll dye up as many as you have ordered and get them sent out by the 1st of July.
Last but certainly not least, I wanted to let you know what the July Club Colorway was going to be. I’ve been a fan of Renoir’s beautiful impressions of people since I was a teenager studying French, and this month, I’m using one of my favorites, “Two Young Girls at the Piano,” as my inspiration. You can learn more about the story behind the painting here. Here’s a photo of it:
The painting reminds me of my own two daughters enjoying music together at the piano. If you are interested in signing up for one of my yarn or fiber clubs, you can do so here.
Happy fiber artistry!
