Good morning, and happy Friday to you. I don’t know about you, but I love cowls. They are an elegant little accessory, and they are generally fiddle-free, meaning they don’t take a lot of styling to make them look great. They are also small and quick to make, which is what brings us to today’s topic of last-minute gift ideas.
I thought I would share a few cowl patterns with you that are good for worsted-weight and DK-weight yarn. You can probably find the perfect yarn for these in your stash, but if not, I am working very hard to make sure to ship the next day after your order.
I’m going to divide these into crochet patterns and knit patterns. The links are to Ravelry, but you can probably google these and find them elsewhere as well. I chose these particular patterns for beauty and interest. Most are for beginners, but a few are a little more complex.

Hand-Dyed Silk Infinity Scarves
I almost forgot to mention a different gift idea–one of my hand-dyed silk infinity scarves. These are all ready to go out, and each one is unique and one of a kind. Even when I dye up the same colorway, it turns out differently because of how the fabric lays. Here is Pagliacci, which is one of my favorites:
I just have a few of these in stock. I typically make them just for Christmas and Mother’s Day.
Gift Cards
If you need a gift for a fellow fiber artist, you might consider a gift card from my shop. I have them in increments of $15 and up, and they arrive in your email inbox to gift to whomever you like.
Fresh from the Dye Pot
This week, I have dyed up a few new colorways on lots of different yarn bases, including my new (again) Super Sport yarn base.
I’ve dyed up Beowulf, Freedom Blue, and Galadriel’s Gift this week.
Here is Beowulf shown on Super Sport:
Here is Freedom Blue shown on Sparkly Merino Sock:
Here is Galadriel’s Gift shown on Squiggle Sock:
I love the idea of Freedom Blue, Galadriel’s Gift, and Dreams of the Sea together on any of my yarn bases.
I’m going to be dyeing up It’s Complicated today, so that should be in the shop on all the bases by early next week.
I hope your holiday season is filled with joy. See you next week!
