Silk Scarves and a Solitary Skein Sale to Celebrate Independence Day

Happy Independence Day! I decided to send out the newsletter a day early because I’m having a Solitary Skein Sale to celebrate our beautiful country. I also dyed up some new habotai silk scarves.

Solitary Skein Sale

I’m having a sale on all my solitary skeins. Solitary skeins are the last skein of a batch, and many of them go well together. The sale also includes a few other goodies too, including some of my hand-dyed top and silk hankies.

Use the coupon code INDEPENDENCEDAY24 or click here to go directly to the sale and have the coupon code added to your cart.

I’m going to wait until tomorrow to mention the sale on social media so that you–my newsletter subscribers–get first dibs on all the sale items.

Here are just a few of the items in the sale:

New Silk Scarves

I love adding a finishing touch to any outfit, and I bet you do too. In the winter, I usually wear a scarf or shawl or poncho that I have knit or woven. In the summer, though, I usually choose a silk scarf that goes with my outfit to add a little panache without adding heat.

This week I got to dye up some new silk scarves made of Habotai Silk. These scarves are 11 x 60 inches and can be worn in so many different ways. As I have mentioned before, these tend to be one-of-a-kind even if I dye the same colorway twice because everything depends on how the colors play on the silk.

You can see all the new habotai silk scarves right here along with a few silk chiffon scarves as well. The silk chiffon scarves are wonderful for nuno felting.

Show and Tell Next Week

Next week is the Show and Tell newsletter where you get to share what you’ve been working on. Please send a photo or two of a WIP (work in progress) or FO (finished object) that you have spun, knit, crocheted, woven, or felted using at least some Purple Lamb yarn or fiber. You won’t find a more appreciative audience since we all know how much joyful labor goes into each project. It’s also a great opportunity to get some inspiration for your next project.

I know it takes time to photograph your project and send me the pattern info to go along with it, so I’ll be sending a thank-you coupon to everyone who sends in a project this time.

Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend!
