Show and Tell and a Sale on Stained Glass Fingering

Good morning and happy Friday to you!

Today I get to share some beautiful projects others have made using Purple Lamb yarn that will hopefully inspire your next project.

Sale on Stained Glass Fingering

Before we get started, I also wanted to let you know that I’m having a sale on Stained Glass Fingering.

I love this yarn base so much that I may have gone a wee bit overboard dyeing it up, so I am offering 20% off now through Monday. Just use the coupon code STAINEDGLASS20. Click here to go directly to the sale.

Here are just a few colorways I have in stock:

Show and Tell

I have some beautiful projects to share with you today! Let’s start with this one from Alden. She made the Bluebonnet Top from Nomadic Knits using Party Like It’s 2021 on Sparkly Merino Sock. Here’s the whole top:

Isn’t it beautiful? Here is a closeup:

Next up we have this beautiful project from Liz. She combined my Autumn Leaves colorway with Malabrigo Chunky in black:

By the by, I just dyed up Autumn Leaves this week for the first time this year, and you can find it right here.

Next up we have Janice’s lovely sweater. She used the Jazzy Cardigan by Tanya Eberhardt. She said that she modified it a little bit and added the trim. Janice is a long-time club member, and she combined two different club colorways (Hope from May 2020 and Almond Blossom from April 2020) with accents of Mithril and Turquoise.

Here is the front:

…and here is the back:

I have two beautiful projects to share with you from Jessica. The first is Close to You by Justyna Lorkowska. This is one I hadn’t heard of, and I’m so excited and grateful to Jessica because it is a rare and free one-skein scarf pattern. I know we are all on the lookout for great one-skein patterns, right?

She used Farewell Arizona for the project, which was the last colorway I dyed before leaving Arizona. I only wish I had written down the recipe! Here’s the whole scarf:

The other beautiful project Jessica shared this month is Night Shift by Christopher Salas. She used Eggplant and Party Like It’s 2021 on Sparkly Merino Sock. Here is the whole shawl:

…and here is a closeup:

Next up we have a trio of socks from Lisa:

These are all club colorways from my sock club, including the semi-solid minis to go with them. The one on the left was inspired by Rembrandt’s painting, “The Storm on the Sea of Galilee,” the one in the middle was inspired by Lois Jones’ “Les Vendeuses de Tissue,” and the one on the right was inspired by Munch’s “Scream.” I love seeing all of these together, don’t you?

The next project I get to share with you is a beautiful shawl made by Meagan. She used the Chloe Tapestry Shawlette crochet pattern by Kristina Smiley. Meagan used Galadriel’s Gift, After the Rain, and Purple Delight. I think this beautiful project is our only crochet project this month.

The next project is from Wendy who shared her Eight Days of Easter kit I made this year. Wendy used the included Kalari Shawl by Ambah O’Brien. Here’s a closeup:

…and here’s the whole beautiful shawl:

I’ve been thinking about coming up with a similar kit for shawl. Let me know if that is something you would be interested in.

Last but not least, I have two projects Pat shared with us. The first one is a work in progress. It’s the Dahlia Blanket by Kristina Ingrid McGowan. She asked me to dye up some skeins of Rose on Sock Perfection and Alpaca Lace Cloud for the project. It’s going to be so incredibly soft!

Here’s the work in progress:

….and here’s a closeup Pat sent me with a rose from her garden that’s almost a perfect match. Isn’t that lovely?

Pat also shared her Sharon Show shawl by Casapinka. She used all So Silky Sock colorways, and I have to say I think this is the prettiest Sharon Show shawl I have seen! The colorways Pat used are Turquoise, Eggplant, Lilac, and Lizzie.

I think those are all the beautiful projects I get to show you today. If I missed one, please do send it again. It wasn’t intentional!

Fall Colorways

I am continuing to make new fall colorways and bring back some old ones. Here’s one of my favorite new ones, inspired by Afremov’s painting, “Farewell to Anger.”

It was my club colorway back in November of 2020, and I decided to bring it into the shop this fall. You can see this one and all the other new goodies in the New This Month section of my shop.

I hope fall weather finds you soon. In the meantime, stay well! Happy fiber artistry!
