Martin Luther King Sale

Good morning and happy Friday to you!

This weekend I am having a sale on Quick and Cozy Bulky, Aran Go Baa, and Wonderful Worsted. The sale begins today, and it ends at midnight on Monday. In honor of Martin Luther King Day, just use the coupon code MLK20 to take 20% off. Here’s the link to everything included in the sale.

Here are a few of my favorites on Quick and Cozy Bulky:

And here is some lovely squishiness on Wonderful Worsted:

I actually only have a couple of colorways dyed up on Aran Go Baa at the moment, but you can still use the coupon code for them. Here’s Elation on Aran Go Baa, which is so much fun!

Just to be clear, the 20% off coupon is only good for yarn I have in stock and not for Dyed to Order.

New Luxury Spinning Fiber

I finally got a chance to dye up some fiber I have been really excited about. It’s made of 50% Tussah Silk and 50% Baby Camel Down, and it is luscious!

I dyed up Ball at Netherfield, Paris, and Bouquet on this lovely top:

I would recommend it for spinners with some experience who have “mastered” merino.

I also have some great organic Polwarth and superwash BFL in the fiber section of my shop right now.

House?

On a more personal note, we put an offer on a house, and we are waiting to see how it goes. One super thing it has is a converted garage that would make a tremendous studio for me. It’s also really close to my husband’s workplace. We shall see.

Two-Year Club Anniversary

I realized that this February will be the 2-year anniversary of the beginning of my art-inspired yarn and art batt clubs. Whether you are a club member or not, I would love it so much if you would share your favorite painting with me. Please share it to the Purple Lamb Facebook page anytime this week. I am hoping to be able to choose one or more of your favorites to use as inspiration for upcoming months. Thanks in advance!

Martin Luther King

Since Monday is Martin Luther King Day, I will leave you with his “I Have a Dream” speech. We have come a long way toward making his beautiful dream for our nation come true, but it seems that we still have a lot of room for improvement.

Happy fiber artistry!
