Oh, the weather outside is frightful…or delightful depending on your age and whether you get the day off from work today. I’m still homeschooling our youngest two kiddos, and they are certainly delighted and full of hope. I have promised that if there is actual snow on the ground, they can have the day off from homeschooling. So far, we have a “wintry mix” here in Dallas with nothing on the ground, but even that is enough to shut everything down, so all the schools are closed and many businesses too. Having spent a couple years living in Michigan, I keep thinking of how much the Michiganders would laugh at us for this, but that’s okay. The big problem here is usually icy bridges, and those are nothing to laugh about for sure.
If you too are experiencing snowy weather, I hope you are warm and able to take advantage of this perfect fiber arts weather.

Fresh from the Dye Pots
This has been a good productive week in the dye studio. In addition to the club colorways, I have been dyeing up dyed-to-order orders (there has to be a more concise way to say that) and dyeing extras of each one for the shop. Here’s what’s new:
I dyed Farewell to Anger on Sock Perfection, Stained Glass Sock, and Buttery Soft DK. Here is a closeup of it on Sock Perfection:
I also dyed The Great Black Bull on Sock Perfection, Squoosh DK, and Stained Glass Sock. Here it is on Stained Glass Sock:
I dyed a little bit of Rosy-Fingered Dawn on Sock Perfection:
I dyed Paris on Sock Perfection, Stained Glass Sock, and Buttery Soft DK. Here it is on Buttery Soft DK:
You can find all of these and a few other newbies from last week in the New This Month section of the shop right here.
I also added a couple more colorway options to some of the kits I showed you last week. The one I am most excited about has Impressions of Autumn, Autumn Sunset, and Sunset at Sea for the Angel Wings Ponchette kits.
What’s really neat about this is the middle colorway–Autumn Sunset. I dyed one side of it with all the speckles from Impressions of Autumn and the other side with all the splashes from Sunset at Sea.
I’m actually about halfway through my own (third) Angel Wings Ponchette using those three colorways on Stained Glass Sock. Hopefully I’ll have it done in time to include it in next week’s Show and Tell.

Show and Tell Next Week
And with that segue, I want to remind you that I’ll be doing a Show and Tell newsletter next week. If you have any works in progress or finished items you’d like to share, please send me a photo or two along with any pattern information.
As I am writing, the snow has gotten a lot heavier, and the kids are already outside playing. I think I’ll go join them for a bit.
Stay warm!
