Good morning, and happy Friday to you. This week I have a new collection to share with you as well as a couple fresh batches of old favorites.
Gelato Collection
I dyed up some soft spring pastels, and I named the colorways after real flavors of gelato. Here is the whole Gelato Collection together:
I dyed the colorways on Feather Sock, which is a light fingering-weight yarn made of 85% non-superwash merino and 15% silk. Here are all the colorways with their names:
There really is rose-flavored gelato and violet-flavored gelato, and they are delicious! There are seven gelato colorways, and I made a light silver colorway as part of the collection and named it Scoop after the stainless steel scoop used at a gelateria. These are mix and match colorways, made to use in whatever combination you like. Each skein has 490 yards, so they go a long way. You can find the whole collection right here.
Beautiful Universe
I just dyed up a fresh batch of Beautiful Universe on Sock Perfection, Sparkly Merino Sock, Stained Glass Sock, and Squoosh DK. This is one of my most time-intensive colorways to dye, but I think it’s worth it. By way of a warning, it’s also one that varies most from skein to skein because of the complexity of the dye method.
Annunciation Blue
I also dyed a batch of Annunciation Blue, which looks great with Beautiful Universe. I dyed it on lots of different yarn bases, but here it is on Squiggle Sock for the first time:
Eight Days of Easter Reveal
Spoiler Alert!!!! I have been dying (pun intended) to show all of you the Eight Days of Easter shawl from this year’s kit, but if you are still working on yours, DON’T SCROLL DOWN.
For everyone else, scroll down to the very bottom of today’s newsletter so you can see what this year’s Eight Days of Easter kit shawl looked like. It’s called (naturally) The Butterfly Shawl.

One of the things I love about it is that it can be worn in either direction. Here it is the other way:
That’s everything for this week. I hope you have a lovely week, and I’ll see you next week with the announcement of the May club colorway painting.
