Good morning and happy Friday to you. The official beginning of fall was several weeks ago, but here in Texas, summer has been quite tenacious. If you live where there’s a real fall season with brilliantly colored leaves, I’m a little jealous. Whether you do or not though, I have created a collection of semi-solid colorways to help you “find your fall.” Here they all are together on Stained Glass Sock:
While you will find some of these on other yarn bases, I have all of these colorways in stock as I write this on Sock Perfection, Stained Glass Sock, and Squoosh DK.
You can find them all along with some lovely variegated fall colorways in my Autumn Colorway Collection right here.
I was inspired in large part by this gorgeous photo of autumn leaves:
I made the collection big enough so you can pick and choose colors to go together for your favorite knit or crochet pattern. I’ll include some colorways that I think would look great together along with some pattern ideas.
Sets of Three
I think this unexpected colorway combo is my very favorite. It has Pomegranate, Burgundy Rose, and Monarch Orange:
This one has a more gradual color fade with The Winedark Sea, Pomegranate, and Monarch Orange:
This trio would work for either autumn or a sunset shawl with The Winedark Sea, Monarch Orange, and Sunflower:
This next set of three includes Eggplant, Chocolate, and Evergreen.
This grouping has The Winedark Sea, Chocolate, and Evergreen. I keep thinking this would be a great combo for a men’s sweater.
The next one would make a great Christmas colorway even though the individual colors are great for fall. They are Evergreen, The Winedark Sea, and Eggplant–or you could just put Evergreen and The Winedark Sea together for that.
Now for the patterns. Here are a few that I think would be great with these sets of three colorways:

Sets of Four
This would also make a lovely sunset fade with The Winedark Sea, Pomegranate, Monarch Orange, and Sunflower:
I think this next combination would work really well for something like slip stitches because that way the colors in between the colors will appear from a distance. The colorways are The Winedark Sea, Monarch Orange, Sage, and Eggplant.
Here are some patterns to go with these sets:

Five-Skein Sets
Here is my favorite 5-skein set with The Winedark Sea, Burgundy Rose, Monarch Orange, Sage, and Eggplant:
Here’s one that is just a bit different with The Winedark Sea, Monarch Orange, Sunflower, Sage, and Eggplant:

Set of Seven
Here is one set of seven with The Winedark Sea, Pomegranate, Burgundy Rose, Monarch Orange, Sunflower, Sage, and Eggplant together:
Of course the pattern that comes to mind first is Andrea Mowry’s Find Your Fade, which started the whole fade phenomenon and inspired the name of this week’s newsletter, but I have a few others as well.

I think that’s everything. Once again, I have all of these colorways available on Sock Perfection and Squoosh DK as well as Stained Glass Sock, and you can find them all in my Autumn Colorways collection along with some variegated autumn colorways that will look great with these semi-solids.
I hope you enjoy all the fiber arts this fall! See you next week.
