Good morning and happy Friday to you! This week I got to thinking about the coming of fall, which will be here before we know it. I know it is just the end of July, but as I plan the next homeschool year, start preparing for the upcoming fiber festival, and look forward to cooler weather, autumn is on my mind. That beautiful season of transition from hot to cold, green to gold, and new beginnings always inspires me. I hope you feel the same way.
In anticipation, I decided to create some new shawl combos using the different sock-weight yarn bases I carry. I also have a couple other important bits of news to share this week. I’ll share those first.
Last Call for the Pools of Color KAL
The knit-along for Deborah Bowanko’s Pools of Color shawl begins on August 1st in the Never Enough Lace group on Ravelry. I still have some yarn sets in stock for the shawl. You can see those right here. If you already purchased Deborah’s pattern, you’ll automatically get the updated version with the complete pattern just before the KAL begins.

More Peacock Feathers
Last week, I showed you my new Peacock Feathers colorway. It ran out quickly, so I went ahead and dyed up some more this week. I have it in stock on five different yarn bases now.
In addition to the yarn bases above, I dyed it on Super Sport this time.
Peacock Feathers on Super Sport would be great to use with my one-skein scarf pattern, The Long Way Round.
Three-Skein Shawls
As I mentioned, I have autumn on the brain right now, but what do you knit or crochet when it’s still hot outside but you can’t wait for cooler weather? Why, shawls to bridge the gap between summer and fall of course. They work beautifully for a summer evening and then all day once the cooler weather begins. I created a saved search on Ravelry that shows lots of wonderful shawls that…
- Are Made with Fingering-Weight/Sock-Weight Yarn
- Use Three Skeins
- Use Three Different Colorways
You can see all the shawls in the search I made right here on Ravelry. The search includes both knitting and crochet patterns.
Then I came up with some new colorway combos using yarn I have dyed up in my shop right now. I have them sorted by yarn base so you can easily find your favorite. If you click on the photos, it will take you to that yarn base. Let’s get started!
Sock Perfection Colorway Combos
Sparkly Merino Sock Colorway Combos
Stained Glass Sock Colorway Combos
So Silky Sock Colorway Combos
Diamond Silk Sock Colorway Combo
I think that’s everything. I hope the rest of your summer goes well and that your own transition into autumn is full of yarn and joy.
