A Trio of Lovely Colorways

This week I dyed up three colorways that look great together and work well all year long. The colorways are Eggplant, Purple Delight, and Sapphire Dreams. I dyed them on four different yarn bases.

Here are Eggplant, Purple Delight, and Sapphire Dreams all three together on Squoosh Worsted:

Squoosh Worsted is just like Squoosh DK but heavier. It’s made of 100% extra-soft superwash merino, and it’s lovely and squooshy just like the name says. I made a bundle on Ravelry of some worsted-weight patterns that use three colorways to give you some project ideas.

Here are the same three on Sock Perfection:

While these three work beautifully together, you can also combine them with other colorways of course. Here are three splashed and speckled colorways together–Epiphany, Purple Delight, and Sapphire Dreams on Twinkle Sock:

…and here is a purple gradient with Lilac, Purple Delight, Epiphany, and Eggplant on Stained Glass Sock:

You can see the three colorways I dyed this week in the New Yarn and Fiber section of my shop, and you can see the others I mentioned by searching for the name or browsing through the yarn base section of my shop.

Camino Bags

I have some new project bags for you this week that my daughter Elizabeth made. These are cleverly designed to make it easy to walk and knit at the same time.

The bag has an open top and one strap that fits nicely over your arm, making it easy to access the yarn inside while walking. It’s 1 foot wide and 9 inches high not counting the strap. It has two outside pockets to hold your notions and a D-ring where you can hang your stitch markers:

It’s lined with white fabric on this inside so you can see all your yarn clearly, and it has a 3-dimensional box construction, giving you extra room.

Isn’t it lovely? It’s great for one- and two-skein projects. You can find our new Camino Bags right here in the shop.

Sneak Peak of an Upcoming Pattern

I have a new pattern I’m working on that I will probably be calling the Ripple Shawl. I drew inspiration from Cecelia Campochiaro’s Sequence Knitting book for this design. I’m hoping to have it ready to publish by next week. It’s knit side-to-side starting with a few stitches and increasing along the bottom edge and then decreasing back to the end. Here’s the front knit up in Georgia O’Keeffe’s Blue and Green Music on Twinkle Sock.

…and here’s the back:

As you can see, it’s reversible, and it’s designed for any yarn weight. Here it is on Squoosh Worsted using Lois Jones’ Les Vendeuses de Tissue as the colorway:

I’ll be including instructions for different yarn weights and for making a marled version as well. I look forward to sharing it with you when it’s all done!

I hope you have a wonderful week full of fiber arts and beautiful autumn weather!
