In gratitude to my wonderful customers for my 500th sale, I’ve decided to give away these lovely skeins of handspun yarn.
All three are bulky yarns that I spun thick and thin. These would make a fantastic soft and cozy cowl, don’t you think? Here’s what the winner will get:
- Bird of Paradise (middle) – 74 yards of bulky yarn made of 80% merino, 10% baby alpaca, and 10% muga silk
- Sunshine (left) – 68 yards of bulky yarn made of 100% merino wool
- Lipstick (right) – 70 yards of bulky yarn made of 100% merino wool
You can enter to win below. All you have to do is answer the question. The other things get you extra entries.
UPDATE:
Here are a few patterns that I think would look great with this trio of yarn:
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/raindrops-neck-warmer – This pattern by Janet Gallegher on Ravelry was made for handspun. It is a simple neck warmer pattern that uses garter and stockinette stitches in the round. For this pattern, you could use 1″ or 2″ stripes of each yarn, or you could use all of one followed by all of the other for wider stripes.
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/londonderry-legwarmers – This pattern by Lion Brand Yarns is for a pair of simple stockinette leg warmers. When using handspun yarn, I find it’s always best to use simple stitches so the yarn and the pattern don’t compete. However, you might decide to use a bit of commercial yarn in a coordinating color for the ribbing.
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/simple-bulky-messy-bun—pony-tail-beanie – This pattern by Nicole Tsou is a beanie with the top left open to pull your bun through. This would probably leave enough yarn to make a little something extra as well.
I would love to crochet with this lovely handspun yarn. I’ve never crocheted with handspun yarn.
Thank you, Kobie.
